Play Area – Bouncy House – Besant Nagar – Autism Spectrum Disorder

sharing details about another play area we visited recently.

The Place name is “Bouncy House”, it is located in Besant Nagar. The address and contact details are T26 ground floor, 7th avenue, Besant nagar, Chennai – 600090 Ph: +91 9677 764 088 044-42874091. Very limited car parking space, 3-4 cars can be parked. Their website is http://www.bouncyhouse.in. Google location is accurate, even if you did not find parking space, you can park your vehicle in the besant nagar beach parking area, where plenty of spots are available. Weekends are difficult to get parking in the beach as well, as all entertainment and foodie places are in that zone. If you are travelling on weekend during peak hours, better take a cab/auto.

This place is one of the biggest dedicated play areas i have seen till date. Very nicely designed like a maze. It is newly opened up, hardly 3-4 months old.

1) The place also has a snacks and Beverages menu, which can be availed in the waiting area. Food items are not allowed inside the play area.

2) Socks is a must, hence bring your own else you will be charged.

3) Place is very clean.

4) The staffs are available, but not as vigilant as i have seen in other play areas. They kind of stand in groups so that they can chit chat.

5) Adults are allowed to play inside the play area as well, no restriction on that. However one adult can accompany one child. Few areas are difficult to navigate by adults, hence proceed accordingly based on your body condition.

6) The place has Ball Pool, Trampoline section, ball shooting gun, sliders, no arcade games apart from the one in Trampoline area.

7) Restroom facility is inside the play area zone. They have kept slippers of different sizes there, which can be worn while using the restroom as all of them will be in their socks. The restroom is very clean and kids friendly, they have an adjustable toilet seat for smaller kids as well.

8) There is a separate play section for kids below 3 years.

9) They have a party hall or a waiting place in the first floor, which is the best place from where we can monitor the kids and enjoy your snack and beverages.

10) They are very proper in their billing. However not equipped with latest payment methods such as Pay TM, chip based cards etc. Had an incident where they did not have a swipe machine that reads chip based cards, had to go to an ATM for cash withdrawal in order to pay them.

11) CCTV Cameras are installed and monitored by the reception.

13) The charges are 500 Rs for 75 mins ( 1 child + 1 Adult). Rs 50 for every additional 15 mins and Rs 100 for additional adult entry. It is nice that they have additional 15 mins tariff, instead of whole additional hour. However the price is expensive considering the other play areas i have visited till date.

The place is designed in a manner that gives kids the whole body workout, as they have to walk, jump, crawl, bend over etc. The trampoline park has an arcade game, where kids have to press the odd color, it provides the good activity for hand eye co-ordination. The place is air conditioned well, however i found mosquitoes inside the waiting area.

My son loved this place a lot, in fact he constructed a sentence which we never taught him and said ” This is best ever play area”.
