Online Shopping – Amazon – Wall Stickers for Learning

Hi All,

the world of online shopping has been a blessing to many parents who can hunt for products that are needed for them and for their children hassle free. I am here to share few items which we purchased and tried for our children. We had ideas to paint our walls with few cartoon characters or pictures that would help in teaching few things, whereas one fine day during my browsing in Amazon.in, found wall stickers that are designed for children which might help in teaching them a thing or two.

Below are the wall stickers we purchased from Amazon.in till date:

Each sticker set costs 300 Rs and less.

You have to ensure that you have a proper wall size at your home for placing this stickers and most importantly the wall color should be light and bright …for the stickers image to appear clearly. If you stick those in dark painted walls, the images are not legible.

We placed the below stickers in the bathroom door, as our son finds it less motivating to go to bathroom by himself, as we have to do prompting all the time……

When  you are teaching something afresh for a child, it cannot happen through one big bang approach, it should be done in bits and pieces. First they should familiarize with the words that we are going to teach them, so we should use such words more often so that they are used to hear those words, later we should make them understand when such words are used, later we make them understand the concept , that way it will register properly in their brain.

With stickers on the wall, unknowingly every day they are going to see these things, they will remember the words, spelling etc without teaching, we only have to teach what they are later point of time …. My son learnt to say about solor system in a day after placing the stickers in the wall, we did not sat and taught him at all. Also he was quick to catch the body parts names from the stickers quickly.

I would not say that it is a fail proof method, it is the one which we tried, it worked in few cases, hence sharing the same.
